Il Falconiere, located on the hillside of Cortona, is not just a place to stay; it is a dream come true and the result of a beautiful Tuscan story.

Inspired by their love for this special slice of Tuscan countryside, Silvia and Riccardo Baracchi had always dreamed of creating a place where they could capture the essence of the land around them and offer it as a gift to guests. In 1988 they began working on Il Falconiere and fueled by a great passion, a jewel of hospitality was born. Today, Il Falconiere is a charming world suspended in time, one represented by the simplicity of two youths in love with a dream, from which a wonderful story has been created.

Guests of Il Falconiere are given the keys to the Baracchi universe, where they are welcomed as part of the family. Here, you are encouraged to embrace the pleasures of "bien-vivre” (the art of living well) through one-of-a-kind experiences that blend nature, culture and tradition. A long-time member of Relais & Chateaux, each room at Il Falconiere is individually designed and modeled after Tuscany’s most authentic and noteworthy homes. The Michelin star restaurant offers gourmet local cuisine created by Chef Silvia (yes, the same Silvia who owns the property), who also offers cooking classes that are not to be missed. While on property, guests can enjoy time at the spa or perhaps they’ll find themselves wandering into the vineyards, where Silvia and Riccardo’s son Benedetto will be waiting to introduce you to their fascinating world of wine.
