“I had the chance to stay at Borgobrufa for a fam trip aimed at showing Umbria to selected representatives of a main US tour operator, and therefore we were in need of some specific characteristics: a location easily reachable from anywhere in the region; onsite facilities and room amenities available regardless of the type of room booked; a professional and prepared staff, and an overall level of service of the highest standard.

All the boxes were ticked by Borgobrufa, with the extra bonus of a structure gracefully fitting in the landscape and gorgeous art scattered around.

It took us a little above two hours to get there from Rome, and it is close to all and every place of interest in the region, not to mention its proximity to the Tuscan border.

During our stay there, we went touring in the morning, and spent the afternoon hanging in the spa, which I can say is one of the cleanest and best equipped I have ever seen. At dinner, we experienced a cuisine refined but also friendly, if you know what I mean: splendidly executed, presented and served, without the slightest trace of that condescending attitude you sometimes find in upscale restaurants.

Furthermore, we very much appreciated their adult-only policy. Kids are beautiful, but sometimes you just need something different.
